At Kingsway Church we will be doing something specific in prayer. Every few weeks, we will intentionally pray for a different Foursquare Church, learning what God is doing through them, in them and with their communities. Our goal is that by connecting to and praying for other Churches across Canada, God will open our eyes - we will see the bigger picture of how He is working and moving through the power of prayer in this nation. We will Look and Watch... (Habakkuk 1:5)

Saskatoon—Courts of Praise Foursquare Gospel Church

Pastor Larry and Becky Thomas are getting used to the cold having just moved from BC to Saskatoon. The Church is doing well, and re-establishing themselves.

Prayer requests:
- For the Church while she is in transition. They have a new pastor, new vision, new church building - lots of changes this year for the congregation. - For Larry, Becky and Tiffy Thomas (pastoral family) who are also going through transition.
- Becky is looking for a way to make some money while being available for the Church and Tiffy is recovering from scoliosis surgery (seven hours long on Oct 31).

The leadership needs Wisdom during this season of transition, knowledge from God as to all that needs to be done and the understanding to do it.

We give praise and thanks for where God has specifically placed this group of people. He is working in and through them to reach their community!

City Oasis Foursquare Church in Moose Jaw and Praise and Worship Centre Foursquare Church in Regina

Pastors: Greg and Johanne Spencer

Greg and Johanne seek God’s heart in reaching their community and watch it happen in different ways including business, arts and music.

Although these two Churches are being presented together, they each have their own unique personalities and impact on their communities.

They are praying to see God intentionally use key people in their Churches for connecting and bridging communities—that divine connections would be made.

Pray that God would bring them key staff people to work in all different areas.

In Regina, the Church is getting excited about moving outside and getting into their community. Convergence is happening – first contact people are now coming to Church and to Bible study. The youth group is growing and they are seeing young people come to Christ. Pray for their leaders as they are entering into new challenges that come with growth and discipleship.

Moose Jaw is relaunching and redefining their role in the community.
In many ways, God is using them as a bridge between the Church and the community.

Pray that connections increase and the new things that they do will be well received.

Thank Jesus for the connections that have already been made and the work that He is doing through these congregations and through Greg and Johanne.

Beausejour Community Church

Beausejour Community Church exists to REACH people with the love of God, to CONNECT them in loving relationships with other Christians, to help them to GROW in their faith through God’s Word, to challenge them to DISCOVER their gifts, and WORSHIP God with their lives.

Chris Jordan has served as the lead pastor of Beausejour Community Church since January of 2007. He and his wife Liza have been married for over 13 years, and have four children - Caleb, Tori, Austin and Hannah.

The Town of Beausejour, situated 46km North East of Winnipeg, is where over 2750 people currently call home. Beausejour Community Church is located right in the perfect spot—the middle of town!

As a Church they have a heart to reach their community and a hunger to see the Kingdom of God expanded in that place!

Currently they are running an ALPHA course and they have life groups intentionally connecting people into the body. They have strong youth and children’s programs and seek to encourage young people to walk into their callings that God has for them.

Pastor Chris has a heart for young people and he writes, “My heart longs to see this generation get ahold of God, and to be consumed with a passion to burn brightly for Him in these last days, and usher in the return of the King.” He is a man who deeply loves the Word of God and powerfully lives and preaches the Truth daily. He hungers to see Canada transformed by the power and love of Christ.

Praise God for the influence of the Beausejour Community Church. God has specifically placed them for the work that is being done in advancing the Kingdom of God!

Yukon Bible Fellowship Foursquare Church

I invite you to meet Pastor Rick and Nancy Turner and the Yukon Bible Fellowship Church. God is advancing His Kingdom through this body of believers in the North!

Praying for our brothers and sisters at Yukon Bible Fellowship, and what God is working there, Pastor Rick shares,

Pastor Bergman founded the work in 1974 with a special call to the First Nation People. YBF became a training center for the equipping of the Body of Christ and her influence in the many communities around the Yukon. Many Outreach churches were established.

Nancy and I have ministered in this church 3 different times since 1981 for a total of 19 years. We returned in June 2007 to help rebuild the work and refocus on YBF's original call.

The greatest stronghold in the North is the "spirit of independence". Our challenge becomes the message of "Joining", seeing the Body of Christ coming together.

Our praise has been to see the Lord add to His church over the past year; to see a fresh passion burn in peoples' hearts for the Lord and His Kingdom.

There has been a redefining of the vision: "To see the fullness of Christ's Image formed in each person and corporately and its powerful outworking in our community." We have begun a course "In Christ's Image."

We still have need for skilled workers: Worship leader, Youth Worker, Sunday School Supervisor. "Pray the Lord of the Harvest, that He may send Labourers in the field."

Nicole our 26 year old daughter has moved back with us. Nicole has been challenged with Spina-Bifida and is in a wheelchair. We pray for her continued health.

In Christ

Vision

The first verse that God ever put on my heart for Canada is Hab 1:5 "Look at the nations and watch and be utterly amazed. For I am about to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told." We are thankful that God's response is different and he no longer routs a foreign army to demolish us... and take us into exile. BUT, the root of it still stands, and that is this-- God loves to do the impossible. He will increase our faith in and through it. He will do things that we would not believe even if we were told, because we live in a place where the "Law is paralyzed" (Hab 1:4) ... sin is still sin... And God is still GOD. He loves the active vision. Prayer is not the ONLY thing we do, but it is the FIRST thing we do.
